Friday, April 29, 2016 by CapeNature

Our fantastic 40% off winter promotion is happening again in 2016, and you don’t want to miss out!

Yes, the rumours are true! We’re back with the 40% off accommodation promotion for winter 2016, and this year the offer extends across all our self-catering and camping options, excluding the Whale Trail and hiking trail huts. From 1 May 2016, until 31 August 2016, you can get almost half off all bookings you make for travel during that period.

Simply call us on (021) 483-0190 or email to make your booking.

So the question isn’t when you’ll be visiting one of our reserves, but which one you’ll visit! Luckily, we’ve got a list of our top five options below, to make your choice easier.

Zone out at Rocherpan

Elegantly designed, with views of the seasonal vlei, the two-bedroom eco-cabins at Rocherpan Nature Reserve are a luxurious escape from home. Do some birdwatching (if the vlei is full), visit the private beach, or simply while away the hours in front of the indoor fire. There aren’t many better ways to spend time getting away from it all. Need more convincing? Just watch the video above to see what the reserve has to offer.

Unwind at Algeria

Set in the Algeria valley, adjacent to the popular campsite, the cottages at Algeria are the perfect base from which to explore the Cederberg Wilderness Area. Tastefully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen, an outside braai area and indoor fireplace for those cold winter nights, you won’t want to leave. Click here for more information.

Warm your heart at Kogelberg

Oudebosch, Kogelberg, CapeNature, Scott Ramsay

Just over an hour’s drive from Cape Town, the Oudebosch eco-cabins at Kogelberg are CapeNature’s flagship eco-tourism product, sustainably made, in the heart of one of the most biodiverse areas in the world. With large living areas, two bedrooms, and spacious patios, the cabins at Kogelberg are ideal for a family getaway. Find out more here.

Soak up the Garden Route at Otter’s Rest

The Garden Route can be pretty wet and wild in winter, but the good days are stunning, and well worth the bad weather you’ll get into the bargain. And it’s especially worth it when the accommodation is as fantastic as Otter’s Rest in Goukamma. Set on a hill overlooking the Goukamma river mouth and estuary, with panoramic views, and featuring two beautifully furnished bedrooms, a large living area and a balcony with a built-in braai, you won’t want for anything. Head here to find out more.

Experience the Karoo at Gamkaberg

As the splendid video above illustrates, Gamkaberg Nature Reserve is a unique Karoo experience, just 25km outside of Oudtshoorn. With a selection of tented camps, which have a rustic charm, while providing world-class accommodation, you could while away the winter days in comfort. Click here for more.

* The 40% discount is only valid for accommodation bookings and travel until 31 August 2016. It excludes the Whale Trail and hiking trail huts. Prior bookings are not eligible for the discount. Standard Terms and Conditions apply.
